We know we’re the best, but we’re biased! So don’t take our world for it. We have scores and scores of verifiable 5-Star reviews from Divemaster Interns just like you who chose to work with us out of all of the options they have worldwide. While Interns resoundingly agree our training is the best around, the location, proximity to the United States, the free accommodation, and all the other benefits didn’t hurt either!

“Had an amazing 4 weeks on Cozumel. Brilliant group of students and instructors from which i learnt so much. If you are thinking about going then don’t hesitate, you wont regret it!” -Joe

“This has been the best experience of my life!!! The diving is amazing and the people and instructors are even more amazing! I have learned so much about diving since coming here. This is hands down the best decision I have ever made in my life! If you are interested in diving and want to learn from the best I suggest you come here!” -K

“I came to Cozumel with no dive experience and came back 8 weeks later as a divemaster. Had the greatest time in Cozumel with all the other interns and instructors. Would 100% reccomend it to anyone!” -Nataia

“Great school and knowledgeable instructors. CDS definitely has a great, growing program and cozumel is a wonderful island. The number of dive sites and the intricate knowledge the local DM brings to the table makes it hard to beat this dive company. For the divemaster program it’s a great experience and I feel I grew a lot, both in knowledge but also in mental strength and confidence of my own ability. As far as diving just with the company, you couldn’t be in a safer enviroment to dive.” -Clay

“I’ve spent four weeks , I became a Divemaster and I met people from all over the world . Great school and knowledgeable instructors. CDS definitely has a great, growing program and Cozumel is a wonderful island. The number of dive sites and the knowledge the local DM brings to the table makes it hard to beat this dive company. I recommend for experienced divers and beginners too.” -Liptak

“My 4 weeks with CDS for my Divemaster internship (+1 week to reach 100 dives) were fascinating!

The internship goes way beyond the minimum PADI requirements, you get to experience really a lot of course assists (one of the most rewarding thins IMO, seen people improve, overcome their fears, in the end enjoy and be proud of being a newly certified open diver). You get to be in boats with fun divers, making sure everybody enjoy their dive and get back safe. You have direct contact with customers, helping them in and out of the water, as well as ensuring they feel welcome, enjoy their time and have fun. You get to improvise and improve your language skills. And yes, you will also have to clean up gear, carry tanks, bags, weights, but that is worth for the whole experience. Ah, you also get to have a lot of fun!

CDS has amazing instructors and is able to create the perfect environment for learning by immersion on getting people together for diving, living and fun. CDS is for certified divers too! You will be diving in good, fast boats, a great and a very knowledgeable Divemaster (Deenis), Divemaster trainees (DMT) and instructors. You will always have someone keeping an eye on your safety!

I highly recommend!!!” -Murillo

“I spent 6 weeks in Cozumel with CDS and divemaster internships and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I went as an advanced diver and left with my divemaster certification, also hitting over 100 dives. The staff and instructors made the experience what it was. Will definitely be coming back to do the IDC, looking forward to that experience as well.” – Zamay

“I just finished a month long divemaster internship through CDS. The program was excellent, and the instructors were great. Organized well, and safety oriented. They have a fair number of students going through different levels of training. Usually a small student to instructor ratio (1:1 not uncommon) which is nice. There will usually be a DMT working with the instructor on these courses as well, so no shortage of assistance. The DMT was great, with lots of diving and training. Special thanks to Ken and Meg, and thanks to all the other instructors that I worked with, great bunch of people!! Don’t hesitate to do anything from Discover Scuba Diving to Instructor training with these guys!” – Nigel

“My partner and I spent a week on Cozumel, doing our advanced course through Cozumel dive school. The experience went far beyond the money grabbing packages you get used to in Latin America. Not only were the prices good; the communication, quality of service (including equipment) and the free accommodation in Mexican style housing made it all the better. Highly recommend this company and their courses, a professional, friendly environment to enhance your diving skills and experiences. Special note, Dennis, a local dive master, makes a huge effort on every dive and has a great eye for spotting all aquatic life.” -Lucy

“I looked in to Cozumel dive school before i went out there to do my rescue and dive master training. I had an idea of what I expected to get out of this experience, but what I did get from this was so much more. Meg and Ken were great from the start, they were there to help and support you as much as you needed. Not only was the diving experience great but for me, also living in the DM1 House whilst doing the course. I got so much more out of this experience than just diving. Cozumel is a beautiful island that if anyone is thinking about doing there DMT or there IDC, Cozumel dive school wont disappoint in any way. Whilst I was there for 8 weeks I logged over 60 dives, most of these were boat dives – 4 or 5 night dives and a few were shore dives. I would quite easily pay to do it all again for the experience – there’s a big world out there i want to dive, but i will defiantly be going back to Cozumel dive school to dive again.” -Graham

“I spent a little more than two months in Cozumel in a facility provided by the school. While there I met many amazing people. Namely, my instructors Katie and Ken, were both outstanding in teaching me. The dive sites themselves are something out of a national geographic magazine and the local divemaster, Dennis, knows them like the back of his hand. Needless to say, during my stay I learned much and enjoyed the locale and the personalities of each and every member of the school.” -Blake

“In going to keep it short. Life changing experience and memory’s that I will never forget !” -Hunter

“I came to cds to extend my diving qualifications to dive master. Spent an amazing 6 weeks on the island diving many different interesting and diverse reefs. The caliber of the tuition and instructors was state of the art. There was a real family feel to the whole program and everyone involved. If you want to dive in Mexico I would highly recommend you start there. All round fantastic experience.” -Sal
